Hey there,

So around 2 months ago I was slicing a baguette and managed to slice the tip of my ring finger off.
I went straight to A&E and they paper stitched the hanging piece of skin back to my finger.
2 months later and the skin is all back but it's like a bump, and it hurts if you squeeze down on it, for example when I play guitar.
Does anyone know what I should do? I really just want my finger back
This is what it looks like ---> [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I'm no doctor so i can only suggest you go back to your local GP or hospital and see what they say, the worst thing you can do with something like this is try and fix it yourself, got more chance of making it worse than helping it

If he has got a blister i now look an idiot with my reply, but i doubt its a blister, if he's playing a guitar he should be old enough to know what a blister is?

im a chef, and the amount of times i cut myself during the year is ridiculous!
the way you cut your finger, unfortunatley, is quite nasty, but however, like every cut, it will just take time to heal. just be patient my friend and it will eventually get better. you could also go to a pharmacy and get a gel or cream to apply on it, this usually helps.

I thought it was a blister but it's been like this for a month, surely it would have gone down by now? I need to stop being lazy and just go see my GP

You need to see a medical professional if you have an issue such as this, none of us can help you.

Good luck.
