I'm looking to start playing cs go, not very competitively. My PC specifications are as shown below

Processor Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor G620
Processor Clock Speed -2.6 GHz
Cache: 3MB

Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

RAM 4GB

Maximum expandable memory- 8GB

Graphics card Intel HD Graphics 2000

Hard drive 750GB

Optical disk drive DVDRW

Memory card reader Yes

USB 8 (2.0 & 3.0)

Modem/Ethernet 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet

WiFi USB Wifi dongle adaptor (optional)

Bluetooth No

TV output 1 x HDMI, 1x VGA

Software included Windows 7 Home Premium

I'm just curious as to what needs to be upgraded to run the game smoother as I don't feel I've to scrap my PC I have, when I could just upgrade the one I have

Please post the make and model of your PC - as I assume it's prebuilt we'll need to know if you can add to your current case, and if the power supply needs upgrading.

A safe bet is to buy a 750ti - it doesn't require a brilliant PSU (generally always works in the poor quality prebuilt systems) and will run every game you throw at it at a medium/low setting.

That's is a link to the specs, I appreciate the help, could you let me know if I can upgrade the graphics card. The PC is roughly 5 years old so i understand I don't have a high end gaming PC. But that's why I want to work on it if possible instead of just dumping it and paying 700-900 to build one from scratch. So any help would be greatly appreciated cheers

I made the topic directly after I made the one on the cs go form
To help myself get responses quicker and from a broader audience. Not everyone reads the PC Build Forums and Cs Go forums so I felt I could get help from both

No, making the exact same topic in different sections makes it harder for people to help you, regardless if you think it will get more people to see the topics. Report this one as 'Close my thread' and answer my recent post on the other thread.

I'm getting help from "Linear" on this post and would like to hear what he would have to say also.

He can also help you on the other topic.. Multiple topics makes it annoying and difficult to keep track of information you are providing.

But for all I know "linear" might not have the slightest interest in cs go and might never have read the topics on that forum before, so he might not help on that forum if he doesn't go on it. Just thought I would be reaching a wider audience by posting in two different forums but yet both similar to what I'm looking for

I have recommended you a GPU on your other topic so there isn't any thing left to discuss.
