i dropped my phone in the sink this morning for about a second(dont ask how) but i dried it and it was working so instead of powering it down and putting it in rice i stupidly kept using it. a couple hours later it started to mess up so i googled about it and i saw i need to power it down or itll short circuit. so i powered it down and put it in rice. now the phone is hot is that a good or a bad thing? and how long should i keep it in the rice?

Yeah just put the phone in the rice when it's turned off.
Leave it over and the Asians will come and fix it. /s
Should be working in the morning

its fine, just keep it in rice for about 2-3 days to completly drain it of the water.

Dang I accidentally dropped my phone in the toilet about an hour ago but I have a pretty thick iPhone case so I don't think it did any damage. I just turned my phone off though this kinda freaked me out lol

Not sure if it is good or bad, but leave it in the rice for about 24 hours, then make sure it is dry, and then try to turn it on. Hope it stills works. I jumped in a pool with mine in my pocket, and put it in rice, and 24 hours later it had rice in the phone haha, but after I got it out it worked, so, good luck.
