Probably not since there's no official release date for the next generation of GPUs. Why are you so adamant to buy an NVidia card? If there's a specific reason that makes sense, you can buy a 900 series card now but don't just buy an NVidia card because you think they're better than AMD. You could get a 980Ti within budget, but it'd be a waste at 1080p. 980 isn't worth the premium over a 970, and I'd take a 390 instead of a 970 but you could get a 970 rig if you really wanted. I'd still look at getting a 1440p panel though tbh.

Duderino wrote Seriously, what's with the #downvotesquad in the PC forums these days? If y'all think you're so smart, let's see your shit lmfao.

On topic- OP, no you couldn't because the 980 is shit and not worth the premium over a 970. Downgrade to a 390 if you want. You'll still have XFire support and 1080p would be more reasonable with a 390 so you wouldn't need to buy a 1440p panel.
reason is cause people hate others opinions idk why,

op nice build but i would switch that with 970 980 is just 5 or so fps more imo never go amd since their products are as good unless you are going to use dx12 then amd is the way to go atm since they can do dx12 stuff a bit better
