Hey guys, I've been seeing quite a few topics asking about when the ios 9.1+ jailbreak is coming out. So hopefully this clears up all the questions.

First off: Historical context

So most of you guys probably don't remember this, but Pangu's first jailbreak release was 7.1.2 and at the time it took Pangu about 7 months to release new jailbreaks for the following iOS firmwares. Fast Forward to iOS 9.0.1 and the time it took pangu for that one was 1 month.

What to get from this:

Developing teams, Pangu and TaiG specifically, have gotten much better and dedicated at jailbreaking iOS firmwares. However, unfortunately for us Apple has also become better at keeping developing teams out. Thus, we must be patient when expecting the new jailbreak as it isn't an easy task to accomplish.

Any hope for the near future?

YES there is a light at the end of the non jailbreakable tunnel. Fellow associates of TaiG, 3k, released a blog entry updating the community on the status of the jailbreak. They originally said that a 9.2 jailbreak was soon to be released.

However, the post was taken down later on and edited to say that there is currently no working jailbreak for ios 9.2, but they are working around the clock to provide the public with it. Some speculate that the release of the jailbreak will come when apple releases firmware 9.2.1.

What to do in the mean time:

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS

Hackers and scammers are taking the opportunity to strike now due to the high demand for a jailbreak. A lot of fake websites have been created in order to get people's information with the promise of a functionally jailbreak.

Do not download anything or complete any surveys, any real jailbreak wouldn't require you to download anything other than the jailbreak tool. And they would certainly not ask for you to complete a survey.

I will keep you guys updated on the status of the jailbreak.

UPDATE:
Great news fellow jailbreakers as of this morning, iOS 9.2.1 beta 2 phase has been released for developer accounts. The new iOS is most likely ready to be launched. This is a good thing, as TaiG is most likely waiting for the 9.2.1 firmware to be released in order to prevent getting the Jailbreak patched.

So what does mean?

It means that you can expect the jailbreak to be released within the next 2 weeks

Damn haha. I couldn't deal with anything below 9. But I do believe it'll be two weeks. Hopefully I'm correct, I don't see why it wouldn't be as it makes sense for it to come out alongside iOS 9.2.1

You never know, it may be more difficult for them to release a jailbreak. Maybe Apple has upped their security a bit. But obviously that won't stop people from getting through. We'll have one eventually.

By the way, does anyone know if there is a way to receive an update whenever a possible jailbreak is released for iOS 9.1+? Because it gets very tiresome coming to the forums everyday and searching
