DO NOT STRETCH IMAGES. Don't drag an image sideways to stretch it, if you're using photoshop to resize them, hold shift and drag the corners so you get an even resize.
The more i look the worst it got, im not sure if you shrunk the height or the width either way don't do it again. (When you understand why then you can stretch whatever you like)

if you want to put characters on a banner find a plain image then save pictures of characters then drag and paste them over to the banner at the correct size they wont look so stretched out.
