Hey guys so my mom forgot her password to her admin user on my computer and now i cant download or update anything, i have windows 7 ultimate. Can anyone suggest the best way to change or reset the user? Thanks for the help

If you run the PC in safe mode sometimes it gave you the option of logging into a Administrator account with no password. I'm not sure if that was a windows 7 or xp thing it's been a while. Failing that if you look around in google there's ways around it through CMD but you might be easier just doing a clean install of windows.

That will work. Pretty sure you can do it with a USB to if you don't have a disc.

Yeah mate, you can also create a bootable USB drive with Hirens on it.

Command prompt > Run as administrator

Type: net user administrator /active:yes

This will enable the hidden administrator account on the machine.
