So I'm wondering if I should buy the Season Pass or buy DLC separately, let me know what you'd suggest. And also apparently The Giant comes with SP, can you confirm this for me

The Giant is included when you buy the season pass. If you see yourself playing BO3 all year, then buy the season pass.
