My question is why do people say "Pm me for Gold" are they just trying to attract thirsty people or what ? I am very confused.

Then you wouldn't necessarily be thirsty. If I were going to do that I would provide some examples and give reasoning why you deserve to have someone make that purchase for you though. If you help people people will help you.
