actually that's a good point, I didn't take into account context for some reason. In my article, I believe that it is being used in a more positive manner. Stating that the phrase 'far from equilibrium' has come to refer to the special states of a system in which it is most likely to produce RADICAL, productive, and unforeseeable behaviors. So I guess in that context, it would be more positive? Taking into account the words that follow the word radical as being products of 'far from equilibrium'

By itself it could refer to the obvious west pacific terminology used by so call "waved riders". It could be linked to the modern use of it towards movements or actions. Mainly speaking political or violence. By itself the meaning of the word is solely depicted from the reader itself. From where him/her viewpoint of the word. Ultimately determined by the users instant thought of a positive or negative by reading.

I see it in two ways. Radical as in neat and math stuffs. I also see it as an extremist.

mhmmmmm I agree. So for my use (to keep it related to the article the term was pulled from), I should think about the context in the article. Which I believe is more on the positive side, and I think I could stand by that while presenting it. Because now that I think about it, first impression will be too biased because of region (like you said) or political views even. Thanks guys
