Hello, my friend is wanting to get a PC so he can stream and play CS:GO on. He has a budget of $400.. He doesnt need a monitor or keyboard, just a good enough PC to stream and play CS:GO! Thanks!

This should handle those tasks just fine.

May struggle if he cranks the bit rate to stream at though, but it's a tough call with that budget.

860k>G3258
370>750Ti

The G3258 has been known to have stuttering issues. For CSGO, it'd more than likely be fine, but the 860k has 2 more cores, will handle a lot of stuff better than a Pentium.

Best of both worlds but given that your friend wants to stream CSGO which the GTX 950 is more than capable of running, your friend can use GeForce Share or OBS/XSplit with NVENC to stream from the GPU with very little performance hit in game.

Depends if he wants upgrade paths.

With the 860K he's stuck. The Pentium will easily handle CSGO and streaming. So locking yourself into FM2+ seems a little odd to me.

370 may perform better but it's csgo, it wont make any difference.

Actually, I'd get rid of the GPU altogether and get this;

Then I'd look at adding a GTX 950, or maybe an R9 380 and maybe picking up a nice Z170 board to OC the i3.
