Good survival game in my opinion is DayZ

I've heard that ARK is extremely popular since it's been on the console and i do see quite a bit of people on my friends list playing it. I've only played it for <1 hour but while i did i had fun. I'd play it more but games like those i have to play with friends.

DayZ is awesome as well as Rust.

Every survival game is the same. You try to play the game as realistic as possible but still people will shoot you on sight for no reason even if you don't have any weapon, rather speak to you.

I agree with this, most survival game usually plays out like this. You spawn alone and try and play as realistically as possible, build up your shelter what you call home base and then you either come back and its destroyed or everything is stolen and then you get killed on sight. Rather than talk and make a trade or something. Children who first of all shouldnt be playing these type of games ruin it, toxic communities atlesat for me make most of these popular survival games unplayable. Sure blah blah blah "play it with a friend" is true and fun but really ANY game you have friends with is fun.

If I had to pick one I LIKED Dayz the mod.

I would say that Don't Starve is a pretty great survival game, I love the art style.
