Edit: I do not know if this is possible on PS4, I can't check either as I don't have one but this is possible on Xbox one!

I have asked Im4eversmart if it was okay to post this to the public and he was fine with it, he is the original person to do this so I respect his decisions but I figured it outfor myself!

Creating a variant I did on my first attempt but skip to 4.32 for the second step after creating a variant for the Bowie.

Requirements: two controllers and a friend.

Steps:

1. Go to zombies with the second controller and secound account host.

2. On your main account go to weapon kits, find the Bowie, hover over camo and spam the A button on controller 1.

3. Have your friend invite your second controller whilst you're spamming A then when joining stop spamming when you're on the screen that shows the camos.

4. You should be in a public match with the Bowie glitched. Head over to the gunsmith, create a kuda variant and then apply nothing then save.

5. This is the lucky part. You will then need to try and get rid of the Bowie off your screen by trying to get around the UI error.

6. I managed to do it by hitting b a few times after saving the Bowie.

7. Go to your gunsmith then media manager and check all of your variants for a Bowie to see if it worked.

8. If it is there you are one step away from the Bowie knife.

9. You will need to now do the 'Unlock and melee weapon glitch' if you don't know how then here's how ( credit to Cupp of Clutch) :
Two controllers, go to custom game with your second controller host after creating loads of variants of the kuda on your second account, on your main account go to edit game rules then click on the class section and edit custom classes, go to vanguard and hover over the kids, button bash A on your main controller and have your mate invite you to a public match whilst you spam A on both controllers then variants should be under the kuda.

10. Profit, you can choose the Bowie knife variant.
