I don't think opening cases is the smartest way to get a knife. Trading seems to be the way to go.
I have to agree. Trading is much easier to do when your end goal is a knife. You can open 1 case and get a knife, or open 50,000 cases and never get a knife. You have such a low chance at a knife that it is absurd.
I think the amount of cases on average is around 215.
Which if you say £1.50 for a case and key is £322.50 and the chance of getting a knife that is worth over that is little to none.
Best chance is trading and betting

BelowAverage wroteDrift- wrote You shouldn't waste your money with opening cases. Keep buying keys, save them up for a knife and pay 80% market price with them.
I used to bet a lot so it didn't take me very long to get my current knife.
what do you mean save keys for a knife?
Anytime you want to open cases to try and get a knife just save the keys instead. Once you have 20 or so keys you can trade them for a knife, wont be the best but you'll get one. Longer you save the keys the better knife.

faxgta wrote just wondering because i have been opening cases for awhile now and still nothing so i was wondering how long it took u guys and girls to get a knife.
Don't open cases! just use the keys you have for trading. I spent $1500 on keys last year getting only a Huntsman knife Blue steel worth $120. If you bet and trade it'll be a lot cheaper then trying to unbox a knife.

Never use keys on cases, huge waste of money. Just save up those keys and use them for trading would be the most efficient way.

I would say about 50 cases in, I unboxed 2 knives, both in a row. I had some left over Huntsman cases and decided to open them up, got a few blues, and then landed on a ST Huntsman Boreal Forest Minimal Wear, opened another case, landed on a Huntsman Knife (clean/vanilla.) A few days later I turned around and traded it for a Kramabit clean/vanilla and about $40 in keys (the dude overpayed by miles but worked out for me in the end.) Months down the road, traded that Karambit for a Butterfly Blue Steel Minimal Wear and $120 in keys.

By opening cases, about 150 cases. I was making bank with csgl/csgodouble until I disabled 10k confirmations and accidently hit max bet and lost 457000 points when I wanted to put 20000 on green.
Keys are your best bet. Buy keys for $2.20 usd from opskins and get a knife @ ~85%-90% market with keys. Not many people do less that 85% sadly.
But stay away from gambling. It is a sickness and sites like dice and double are completely random. You either get super lucky or super unlucky.
