I keep getting the disk is unreadable error and i don't want to send it off the Microsoft cause black ops is coming out..

I was wondering what should i do?

And do you get banned for replacing the laser?

No, you don't get banned but you void the warranty meaning you can't send it back to microsoft for repairs after you have opened the xbox up.

then after you fixed it you could buy a warranty sticker there only like 90p or summat XD

the laser inside the drive is probably broke, needs replacin if u know how to,plus you can buy warranty stickers but there usually 10 or sutin, lol

just some FYI, it is impossible to replace the laser. if tried and my friend tryed(hes way smarter than me at this stuff) and the laser that comes with the drive only works with the disc drive. I would say to take it to gamestop and trade it in and go to another gamestop and buy another xbox. thats what i did.

U should just call microsoft if ur still under warenty!
