I've asked before but the budget was 600 and I managed to get my friend up to 1000$ so this is the final build he wont go any higher.

Currency = CAD
Doesn't need anything else except the PC. Most graphic intense game he wants to run is probably fallout 4 with mods.

Z97 board with a locked 4590, nope. That PSU, nope. 212 Evo, nope. No SSD?

Should handle games fine, SSD for OS and a few games. Stock cooler will do fine.

If you don't want an ssd then here you go. Better processor, the 4gb version of the r9 380 instead of the 2gb, a better motherboard and in my opinion a better case [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Don't buy the above build... If you can afford an SSD, then 100% get one.

If anything, an SSD would improve gaming performance on newer, larger games. There are compromises that can be made elsewhere. A 380 will pretty much run any game fine at 1080p
