Does anyone know if creating variants still carries over the prestiges so you can keep Dark Matter when you Reset your stats

So you make a Variant of the weapon Reset and then it keeps the Variant with the camo and everything

I believe once you reset your stats, everything you've earned via multiplayer (excluding campaign and zombies) is gone. I reset from 1st prestige, and I had nothing but my campaign and zombies calling cards. I'm not sure about the supply drop items though.

I know the variant way used to work as of December. As long as you made a variant of a gun with dark matter that had 0 attachments it saved it even after resetting your stats. I'm not honestly sure if it still works though. Like I said, I did mine in December.
