Hey everyone,

I know this is TTG but I really need advice from someone older than me. I'm 17 years old and there is this one girl who I'm fairly good friends with but I have no intentions of ever dating her but I feel like she likes me still even though she said she hadn't.

I will say stuff about other girls and she will get absolutely cut even though when she talks about who she likes (idk if she likes them or not) I just go along with it and what not. She keeps asking if I like this one girl (I do and this is part of the story.) So today we had a school gathering and I sat down at the back with someone else and just us two. Then the girl I like comes along and the classes are meant to be sitting down in categories but I'm allowed to sit up the back due to the fact I'm claustrophobic in smaller spaces. So she sits up the back and we talked for a bit and it was good I must admit and she kept peering over at me and such and her and I would laugh at times.

But when I got home and messaged my friend that was a girl about me sitting with the girl I had liked and we actually had spoken she got very agitated and rude. She would make insults towards me and tried to degrade me for some reason even though she apparently does not like me she keeps on saying this sort of stuff and I thought she would of been happy for me because she was telling me to speak to her and such on. Do you think she is trying to set me up for failure?
