If you're looking for a gaming build, get a Skylake i7 and a 980Ti. It will perform much much better.

But it depends what you're looking to do on your rig other than game.

Then don't go with X99, it's a waste of money.

A Skylake i7 would allow you to get a better GPU and therefore have a better overall gaming experience.

Would also save you some money here and there.

Same price, but you get more storage, an SSD and an arguably nicer case. All from Amazon as well, since that seems to be where you're ordering your stuff from. If you want to overclock, you'll need to get a 6700k, to afford that, you might need to get a 250GB 850-EVO instead. The 6700k is still pretty over priced($400), it's more expensive than the 5820k, that's why I never included it because if you're not interested in overclocking, a 6700 would be fine. If you want to overclock, you might even want to look at Haswell, as the 4790k is much more reasonably priced.
