OK so my pc is weird. It has an AMD A10 7700k Cpu/Apu 8gb standard DDR3

and here comes the weird part.... I got an Gigabyte G1 gtx 970... LOL overpowered gpu for an under powered apu -.- i should punish myself for doing this but i need help...
OK so what should i change my CPU to? i haven't got a big budget so 4000~ Swedish kronor. i only need CPU upgrade and if possible Skylake? Ill be mainly just playing games. I wish to play like Far Cry 4 and Fallout 4 COD BO3 GTA DayZ and other shit ton of games thanks for the help! oh yeah forgot, might do some editing and shit.

4000 SEK = ~£330, just find these parts from whatever Swedish/European retailer you buy from.

This one has a mATX motherboard, if you have an ATX case then feel free to get one like [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] instead.

Would OP not be better going with a b150 board since you provided a non overclockable cpu? if there is a genuine reason u chose it then im sorry bro- just trying to help OP save money

That motherboard is only ~£10 more expensive, it has more features than just overclocking support.

Ok, that board has LED's so it must be better... OP can just buy an LED strip and put it in the case if he cares that much..

I wouldn't bother with an unlocked i5, just save a bit more and get a Xeon/locked i7. No point buying a 6600 over a 6500 if it is more expensive, they will perform virtually the same, and what is your obsession with geting a B150 board? Not much point when a board with the best Chipset is only £10 more...

I didnt say its better because the leds, its more suited to the OP's needs with being cheaper, u gave him an locked chip with a mobo thats really for unlocked chip. 6600 is better than the 6500 hence why they brought two diff cpu's out. why go with xeon or i7?

There is no point in spending more money on a 6600 for a miniscule increase in clock speed, they release several different ones for the exact reason of people buying the most expensive one because they don't realise that there is practically no difference..

You don't even know if OP has a case that will house an ATX motherobard, hence why I went with a cheaper, better mATX motherboard.

Just because a motherboard have a Z-series Chipset, doesn't mean it is 'really for an unlocked chip'. It will be perfectly fine without one, with additional features, and later down the line OP could put in an unlocked chip and OC it fine.

A Xeon/i7 would be better due to Hyperthreading, which is proving to be of much more importance in newer, demanding games.

Just because you have a 6600 and that flashy LED motherboard, doesn't mean it is better than any other. The only reason I can see people getting it is because they care about trashy LED's more than performance.
