Illustrated wrote Any opinion on how appearance affects the interview?
Would you be more likely to hire somebody who wears a suit as compared to someone who comes in wearing jeans and a plain T?

It entirely depends, some jobs dressing too smart can seem a bit too much yet dressing too casual can be bad.

Try and gauge the company on how their employees dress to work, from that you can gauge on what to really wear to an interview. I honestly don't mind what an interviewee wears, as long as they are comfortable and they are able to answer everything/perform well in the interview, all is good.

Honestly it all just depends on what i'm hiring for, as long as the person is presentable I wouldn't mind, but different companies have different stands on this question.
