With DICE working on a Battlefield title, and various retailers listing it as Battlefield 5 with the game's setting in World War 1. I thought i'd create this topic to share and discuss what users may like to see in the game, which is rumoured to be released late October.
Personally, i feel that though they are limited in what they can set the game around and what they can include, weapons, vehicle and equipment wise, it's going to be a tough game for them to include everything so our expectations may exceed their capabilities.
For me, i'd love the game to be set around the historic battles that took place in WW1, maybe follow a soldier through to the end of the war, from trench warfare to invading villages. Bolt action weapons and the realistic injuries/damage upon the detonation of grenades, mines. Getting stuck or slowed down in the bogs which formed on the battlefields.
What would you like to see in Battlefield 5?

I think the fact that there is boundaries within a set period of time helps the developers in a way. Making the plot more rich and the details significant. The fact that they cant include anything and everything makes me happy ,because all that attention that use to be averted to useless crap will now be focused on one certain thing (World War 1).
One thing I would love to see is Trench Warfare and the infamous No Man's Land. If they could truly incorporate that play style of being in the trenches and charging through No Mans Land, I honestly wouldn't stop playing the damn game

Trench warfare is something I definitely want to see. Extreme close quarters, while still having to worry about sniper fire trying to hit you in the trenches. I hope they bring back where the environment has an impact on the map, extreme winds, rain, blizzards, stuff like that, which will force you to take cover or change the map which makes you adapt to it. Since it's WW1, I'm also wondering if they're going to add in the chemical weapons that were used, like Mustard Gas bombs, tear gas bombs, ect.

If they make that, all I would ever need after that is a World at War 2 game from Treyarch and I'll be set for life

I will post my thoughts. Imo battlefield 5 won't be WW1 the only reason I say this is there's not much to go on. Limited weapons obviously cool ones but I don't believe you're guy will stop to piss in a gun to cool it down. 2nd it was trench warfare, there is a lot of open areas and close quarter combats yes battlefield has some of that but there famous for open world large battles.
I could go on and on I just don't think it's going to be that setting. Also saying its confirmed nothing has been confirmed. Only time will tell though.

I agree with you when you say it is a bit limited but I still think DICE is going to make this a fun & exciting BF title. Fighting in the trenches is going to be a big thing, that's my guess.

This is something I've been waiting for, for like 5 years. Only to be disappointed with more futuristic qualities in games. The thought that battlefield has maintained a gradual understanding of how War is, and how it's supposed to be in a video game makes it far more better than Call of Duty. The strategic feel the games have to them are just down right wonderful. Now the thought of World War 1 being implemented in a Battlefield Genre is just stunning. I can only imagine how great this game is going to be with Battlefield's massive gameplay and maps.
I honestly cannot wait until this is released. I can only hope that it brings what it promises.
