I love Leo and think he's an amazing actor, and he's definitely been robbed in the past. But as for the movies he was up against, no one else really stood a chance, they've almost done him a disgrace by not giving him any real competition this year.

Really? Have you seen the films he stood against. Bryan Cranston was sublime in Trumbo, Eddie Redmayne gave another great performance in The Danish Girl and Michael Fassbender was responsible for some of the best acting ever put to screen in Steve Jobs.
The Martian wasn't being taken seriously because it's a comedy and comedy movies have never been taken seriously at the Oscars, but Matt Damon still gave a great performance.
Personally I don't think Leo should have won this year. I think Bryan Cranston or Michael Fassbender deserved it far more than he did.
Now that's not to say that Leo doesn't deserve an Oscar, he definitely does, but he has given much better performances in the past.
The Departed, Blood Diamond, The Beach, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Shutter Island are all films where he gave a better performance than in the Revenant but didn't win the Oscar.
The Revenant was made for beauty, not for acting, and this will be looked back on as 'Giving him the Oscar for the sake of him winning an Oscar.'
