Hi all, I'm having a problem with my PC being very loud.. Sounds like a fan to me. I'm thinking of upgrading to a MSI NVIDIA GTX 960 GAMING 2GB...
But before I do that, I wanted to check whether it could be something else making that noise? Could it be the CPU Fan? As I wouldn't mind upgrading that at the same time, as they are fairly cheap and easy to replace. Any suggestions as to which one I should purchase?
I'm going to upgrade my graphics card anyway, just wondering if something else could be making that noise.
Spec:
GeForce GTX 750 Ti
AMD FX - 6350 Six-Core Processor
8GB RAM
1920 x 1080
I'm abit of a computer noob

It could be almost anything making the noise. Your PSU, GPU, CPU, and case will all have fans, it could be any one of those fans. There's also the chance that it could be your HDD making the noise, or it could be coil whine from any number of components. The GTX 960 wouldn't be a wise purchase IMO, so I wouldn't bother getting that. Take a listen, closely and try to figure out what is making the noise in your system, so you can replace, or get rid of the component(s).

It's most definitely coming from the back of the PC from where abouts the graphics card is located. If that helps lol
I think I'll start by purchasing a new graphics card as I was wanting an upgrade anyway. Which one would you suggest? Which is fairly quiet and not too pricy.
If the noise continues after this I will more than likely take it to a PC specialist

I'd be taking an R9 380 over a GTX 960. The 380 will out-perform the 380 for around the same price, maybe slightly less expensive. If you're determined to get an Nvidia card, I'd just go with the GTX 950. The 950 is less expensive than the 960, for almost the same performance. What PSU and case do you have though? You might want a case and/or PSU upgrade before getting a new GPU. If your issue with noise persists after replacing the GPU, come back here and I'm sure we'll be able to help you out.

The case is fine, but you'll want to getrid of thatPSU asap, it's a ticking time bomb. I wouldn't even recommend upgrading GPU before upgrading the PSU. What's your budget and currency for upgrades?

I'd say around 270 GDP for Graphics card and PSU.
I might be able to stretch abit more if I really have to
