Thats because the US was competing against Russia to see who could get to the moon first. After that the hype of the moon kinda died down.

It's very simple, that yes we landed on the moon.

I think we did land on the moon, but it wasn't Armstrong etc.. that was all a cover up. I think something bad happened on the moon and that's why we have never gone back. Think about it, they claim to have all these budget cuts which means they can't afford to travel to the moon although the American economy is booming. Not to forget that countries all across the world aren't sending anyone to the moon, are they all having budget issues as well? I doubt it, WHAT HAPPENED UP THERE!?

There is no logical reason to inhabit the moon. There is nothing there that could help sustain life. No atmosphere and gases.

Mars has everything that could help produce the things need to support life.
