The US is probably one of the most accepting countries when it comes to these type of things... same sex marriage etc. You only see the radicals who oppose it because that is what makes the news. Have you seen how same sex couples are treated in Russia?

Just for the record I dont like seeing ANYONE kissing in public its gross, like cmon im just trying to buy my food or whatever can you move?

They're normally beaten in public, if not jumped by multiple people and left for dead in some cases. Even kids have been attacked or abused because of it. I literally don't care, they go on with their lives, I go on with my own.

OT: Everyone has double standards and complains about everything. A few months back there was a shit storm over some white people meet site or something like that, and everyone lost their mind over it, yet there's all these other ethnic, sexuality and even religion meet sites. For me, I don't care what a person does with their life, whatever that may be, whatever they may like, so long as it doesn't drag me into it.

About the Russia thing I remember watching some sort of social experiment video in school one day about being gay in Russia and "couples" were literally spit on, cussed at, people would literally FORCE their arms apart because the "couple" was holding hands and to be honest I didnt believe it, so I went home and looked up a bit of info and no it turns out its all true. Thats what im saying, the US is a pretty nice place to be equality wise. OP says "I don't believe America will ever come close to equality for all" but I mean in the bigger picture the US is already a pretty equal place to be.

Me personally, I don't care, I'm not bothered by "gays" I have met and even became friends with gay people, male and female, and their sexual preference hasn't made me feel uncomfortable or anything. If they dont try and change my sexuality I'm fine with them. As for the public affection, that does bother me a bit, not because they are gay but because who wants to see a couple in general making out in front of their face, its just an uncomfortable situation.

I honestly don't see why some people hate on gays so much, honestly just do whatever makes you happy man. But as some users above said they are more accepted here in the US than probably anywhere else in the world. Some places in the world will kill people for claiming to be gay.

As my parents would say... "If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say it". So that is what i will do for the most part. I will say that i do get really annoyed when gay people act like steryotypes. For example, gay men that dress like women so that they can attract men, or gay men that have a "feminine voice".

Everyone has different views. It's like race issue here, and the police issue. It will always be here and that' because there will always be that one person who thinks differently. I agree that discriminating because of sexual identification but it will always be here.

I don't mind gays, what you do in your bed is your business. At the point you become a cross dresser, and / or a flamer, I can no longer stand you.
