It depends if you have any work experience as a teenager. It also depends on how flexible your schedule is. You have a number of factors that could get you an interview. Since I am in the military I almost always get an interview now. You could join the military, that's an easy one to get into if you don't have any mental issues.

I was actually thinking of joining the British Army tbh. If I don't have a job by May I'll probably go the army career office and sign up.

Dude, life is only what you make of it. Good things comes to those who wait, I know it's hard. I recently lost employment, I was made redundant. I'm hopefully, bagging my self an apprenticeship. I'm just pending a response after an interview. It will happen. It'll just take a little time. In the mean time, I have your back. I'm here if you need anything at all pal. Keep your hopes up, a positive mindset leads to a positive outcome. Best of wishes anyway buddy.

There are many ways you can improve your situation.

If you're in the UK there are Job Centers where the staff will help you to find employment and set employment opportunities up for you. They'll also help you with job seekers allowance which will somewhat help your living costs.

If you can't get a job because you lack experience, volunteer at charity shops or other fundraising organizations so that you have some retail experience to add to your resume.

If you're trying to get a job in a specific industry then try to get an unpaid internship which will help boost your resume for future employment.

Attend local employment fairs and workshops that help people gain employment if they are struggling.

Most importantly stay positive and remain active. Things may look bleak and gloomy right now but you just have to keep pushing through because things will get better. Goodluck man.

Although I am at University, I'm currently looking for Internship jobs for my next year and I understand partly how you feel. I send out around 5 applications a day (it's what I have time for) I get no replies no call back no interviews. It's the same for my mates at uni too. It seriously demotivates someone.

The best thing I've found is to think what you want from your career. I've decided to start my own business and i'm currently building it up now. It doesn't matter if it fails but I've put what I wanted to into it and i'ts a better project than doing nothing in between getting no response from companies;P

What everybody else in this thread is saying. Keep at it man, you can not let life get the best of you. I have felt the same way and am struggling with that still, but we can't give up. Who ever said this would be easy?
