1. Equipment

Get the best monitor you can get, preferably 144hz 22 inches, a good gaming mouse with a DPI you can change, a mouse pad and finally a good headset with surround sound. Also make sure you have Atleast 60 FPS in-game, turn the settings down if you have to, you need at least 60 or you'll have a huge disadvantage

2. Aiming

Make sure that you have mouse Acceleration "Off" and raw input "On" in your keyboard and mouse settings. This will really hurt you in the long run if you have them on the wrong setting. Get your mouse DPI to 400 and pick a sensitivity roughly between 1.6-2.4

Then go into a random aiming map and switch around the sensitivity to find which suits you. You'll also need to learn spray patterns and what not but that can come at a later time

Nearly a Pro players have a sensitivity around this area and it's really important to find out which suits you.

3. Game-sense

Just playing the game and learning things such as what weapon to buy, pop-flashes and off-angles will really help you as-well in each map. Make sure you play a range of competitive maps and not just the ones you're good at and after a while, you'll be good at all them.

Anyway, it's like 4AM and I need to sleep Good luck and reply back if you need any help with anything

If you get a 144hz monitor, don't get a 22inch monitor. That would be completely idiotic. Only get a good monitor if you truly want to get better/play seriously. I suggest this monitor [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

2. Both mouse acceleration and raw input are optional to have on and off. Try both on and off.

Don't put it to a pro sense. Put it to what you want it and what is comfortable. This is why Respirator is silver 2.

I'm Global Elite, and I do professional coaching on csgoteamfinder.

Not to mention I'll be entering the Faceit Pro league at the end of the month to play against professional players.

So yeah.. that's pretty awkward :/ xD

You were partially right about the monitors, 24 inches would be preferable to 22 but 22 inch monitors are cheaper and they're better for 4:3 stretched and black bars. Don't buy an Asus monitor though, they have a bad contrast ratio which makes them really dark and the colours are not very good. Also my monitor is currently 32 inches (no I'm not joking) it's literally too much for me to watch at once and I'd love a super small monitor. Majority of professional players use 22/24 inch monitors. It's just preference

As about the mouse stuff, mouse acceleration means that your brain cannot build proper muscle memory with your mouse. If you flick 2CM left using your mouse with mouse acceleration "On" 100x, your cursor will land in a different place each time. That's just stupid, you won't be able to consistently hit flick shots or trace corners. Mouse acceleration is just stupid and only NA players use it ;)

And raw input means that Csgo will ignore all of window's settings and use the mice settings straight from the mouse you have. Would you rather have Razer's settings or windows? Of course you'd pick Razer's. It's designed for gaming by professionals.

Finally about the sensitivity. All I'm saying is that the best players in the world use those settings. They're fast enough so that you can turn around quickly and not too fast that you get confused. If you don't use that sensitivity then I'm sorry but you'll never have insane aim and you need to buy a nice mouse pad

The info about the monitor was useful but the stuff you said about the mice, I disagree on. And as you said to me, that's why you're Legendary Eagle ;)

Yeah you must be going into FPL, forgot you were in Premier.

You really need to stop bullshitting. Even if that was your account, and it isn't, nobody cares about MM rank anymore. So please, stop talking.

How am I bullshiting? I'm trying to help another member get better at the game. Stop disliking my posts for no reason either. And yes it's my steam account, I'll change the name and avatar if you cry a little more.

What are you talking about? The premier league? That's football?

If you want to continue arguing for no reason, link me your steam profile and rank . Otherwise stop.
