waffle wrote My dad got his 67 Impala repainted there, needless to say you get what you pay for.. Paint on the chrome trim, trunk lock, they barely took any precaution before painting. The paint itself doesn't look bad but the way they prepped it I personally wouldn't go there.

This exactly.

Same thing happened to my buddy. All his emblems and door handles were painted over.

Most of the price in painting comes in the labor for the prep work, be it auto paint, house paint, or any paint. They can offer the cheap paint jobs because of cutting corners on material and labor. If you want to make sure it's done good, mask everything off you don't want painted in the parking lot yourself. Tell them just cover up the windows / tires and start painting.

Why I'm making this thread? Well back in December I had an accident, I hit a deer coming back home in the middle of the night. Fortunately not a whole lot of damage was done to my vehicle, I received a quote a month ago and was told I should look at Maaco for paint services. After being told this I was kind of on the fence about wanting to get a new paint job or not. I've looked up reviews online but wanted to see what you guys thought about Maaco. I know the price is what will make the quality and all that. But is it worth the money getting a whole new paint job for my car?

You hit a f***ing deer and your worried about your vehicle? You need to rethink your life.

Oh no he hit a deer...what a terrible person... No need to attack him for hitting a DEER. Accidents happen. Rather have it be a deer than a person

Damn you people are heartless, if it were a person then i bet he wouldn't have had made this post saying that he hit a person and was wondering how to fix his car. Yes accidents happen, but he phrased his post in a way that he should not have. "Fortunately not a whole lot of damage was done to my vehicle" This deer just got hit(probably dies), but thank God his/her vehicle didn't get hurt to bad.

Yes I'm heartless, the firefighter who's responded to many car vs deer accidents. I can't even compare the feeling of pulling up to a scene and there's a deer lying there vs a dead person laying in a ditch. I have a whole different outlook on car accidents.. Unfortunate the deer dies but it happens. But I'm not here to argue

I don't understand why you included this. No matter if its a human or a animal, both situations are bad. Since you don't want to argue, i guess i will just drop this.
