Just having a bit of trouble crafting as I don't know what to deconstruct to get tools from.

I know deconstructing weapons gives you weapon parts, gloves & stuff = fabric, what make tools?

You need to deconstruct weapon mods to acquire tools (Optics, muzzles, magazines ect).

Thanks mate, had a feeling it might've been mods but just wanted a confirmation

Mortar is on it Or find a mechanic workshop. There is a few. And search for the red tool boxes. I tend to find loads. Or another way is fully upgrade your Tech wing so you unlock Division Tech. You can craft them into tools/weapon parts etc. You'll find the Division Tech drops in the DZ in loot crates.
