Because when you are 18 you will have come to your senses about paying money to go watch people play COD.

They know kids do stuff that they wouldn't do when they are 18 in a million years.

Last time I went to an event like this I was 15 and I could go with someone over 18. It just depends on the event.

It is rated M, which means you have to be 17 or older. That's the reason you have to be 18 to go, although it kinda sucks for the people who aren't 18.
