If you want a jailbreak it is best to always stay on the lowest software possible which means 9.2.

9.2 and 9.2.1 has been out for so long and they haven't sent out a "legit" jailbreak for it.
I've been hearing they were going to wait for 9.3 because 9.2 had many bugs

The key in jailbreaking is always stay on lowest iOS hence why people stayed on iOS 9.1 and now have a jailbreak while we updated to 9.2 and now have to wait for a jailbreak. There are rumors that go around but teams like Pangu never talk about what iOS and when they are releasing a jailbreak. They just happen to upload it and share it with the world!
