GPU doesn't matter on Runescape, yet. On NXT it will though, so this will get you a lot more fps.

It's sad knowing that runescape is probably going to end up on steam.... runescape is not what it used to be, neither is old school.... such a shame

GTX 960 4gb, but yea RuneScape's current client runs on a single core of your processor the GPU won't make a difference until NXT. With an i5-4460k I get 30-50 FPS on max graphics depending on where/what I'm doing on NXT I was getting 100+ everywhere.
You can enable multi-core on the current client but it will not have hyper-threading and can make the game even more laggy. According to the April BTS NXT will be released on 4-18-16

I talked to a player mod and he confirmed that the processor is what determines fps currently but nxt will be graphics card.
I haven't seen where it's being 4-18-16?
edit: I have seen it on the behind the scenes, i'm pretty excited for it

I have a Radeon R9 270X, and I usually am 30-50 frames, obviously not exceeding the java limit... cause you can't, can't wait for NXT on April 18th when Graphics cards actually matter!

I currently have an R9 390, but like many of the people have stated so far, the gpu doesn't matter at the moment. However, I do have an AMD FX-8350 so I get 60+ nearly permanently. I can't wait for the NXT release!
