my xbox has the red ring and it had 4 of them but now i turn it on it goes from 4 to 2 anyone know how to fix it

That does work also another cool technique is a Blow dryer for 3- 4 minutes

If it has Four Rings then your AV Cables are Unplugged/Bad

4 rings means your AV cables are either not plugged in or not all the way. 2 means its overheated and three means cpu error. You can try overheating it to reset it, I've done that with a couple of my consoles and it works.
