GBP, not Euros. Using USD for someone in the UK would be more of a hindrance than a help. You can just use the UK PCPP though, or a UK site to help someone from the UK, you don't have to be from the UK.

OP- £1000 would be fine, you just spend whatever money you have available and are comfortable with spending. What mouse and keyboard are you looking at buying? Not a good idea to buy some sub par peripherals if you have £1k for a rig, and £300 for a monitor. While we're at it, what £300 monitor are you looking at?

Why are you looking to buy the monitor right now, but not buy a PC for another month? Do you need the monitor now, or what? Your best bet would be to not buy anything, no kb/mouse, or monitor. Just save all your money until your ready to buy a PC, spend it all at once on a nice system with a nice monitor and keyboard/mouse, if that is possible of course.

it's was this 4k monitor which I realised, I don't want 4k yet, just want a good setup. I was looking at this tecknet kb and mouse. I have the money, it's just a big hit and once, I'd feel skint lol.

Well, I use to be like this, always debated if gaming PC's are worth getting, the simple answer is, yes!!

I literally only have a few games so far, and they're not even that good, but yet, I'm so hooked, just faster, better graphics, everything!

But to be happy with one, you need to spend a fair amount to be happy with it.

+ if you get bored of a game, you can simply just get mods for it, takes like 2 minutes to set them up as well!

You definitely don't have to spend a lot. You spend whatever money you have,m and are comfortable spending, like I said. If you don't want to spend all of the money you have on a system, you don't have to spend it all, or you can.

As for tecknet keyboard and mouse, don't. They'll be terrible. Even £1000 is a pretty nice budget for a system with peripherals, don't just start wasting your money, that would definitely be a bad idea. Trust me on this, you're going to want to get yourself a nice monitor, at this point, I'd recommend 1440p at least, potentially 4k if you wanted, but it would be a little more expensive and harder to run. You'll definitely want to get a nice mechanical keyboard and a nice mouse, instead of being stuck with a shitty rubber dome kb, and some shitty mouse.

what monitor and kb and mouse would you recommend? I'm happy to spend £1000 pounds on the system, but if I bought all the other bits with that £1000 it wouldn't be as good.

I spent £1000 myself on just the parts and then a lot more on extras like monitors, keyboard, mouse and more. With £1000 I got a really good PC that can run everything I want at max or high with an ultrawide 21:9 monitor. I also have a PS4 and xbox one which I do prefer for some games but there is a lot more you can do on a PC.
