I've always thought that the definition of "Set for life" would mean that your money can essentially make you more money.

Infinitely generated income is the life I want to have.

I would get £1Mil, flip that by investing into Businesses etc. Take the £2M Put it in a high interest account and live off the interest for a while. Then buy a sick house, sick car and top gaming setup

Lets just pretend here because anyone here isn't going to get over 1 million pounds unless you get that from your family side or you win a lottery. I want to have a amount of money for myself to buy a house, car, basically look after my health care. Also help my family as well with the money.

Set for life for me would £50k a year till my day of death. That would be double the average wage in the UK and wouldn't require me to work but if I want to live a REALLY good life then I would work.

Since I'm 18 and would say if I live to 70 then £2.6m would be me set for the rest of my life.

Father-Doug wrote We all know money isnt everything in life but its pretty important. So what do you consider set for life Money wise and what would you want to have when you retire e.g Mansion, Yacht, Nice Car etc also what age do you see your self retiring?.

Me personally i think if you gave me 5M i could live happily for the rest of my life and i see my self Retiring fairly early at the age of 40.

Money can buy alot of things but it can not buy happiness! and there for you have to be happy with yourself and be willing to take on any challenges in life and i work with alot of people who are 70 to mid 60's the reason they are working cause they stay active and they say most of there friends died retiring early cause they stop being active
