Overclocking and SLI support, If you wont be doing either of them then you could swap out the CPU to a 6500 and the cooler to a CRYORIG H7 and the motherboard to a cheaper chipset. Nice SSD for OS and some games. Black case as wanted, The EVGA P2 is currently cheaper than the G2.

Little over budget, but including a kb+mouse, as asked for. Went with a nice, RGB mech keyboard and a nice mouse instead of a cheap bundle. Nice big SSD, it's a steal at $100. 120GB SSD absolutely doesn't belong in a $1k rig. NO SLI support, but if you spend an extra $30 or so for an SLI capable motherboard, you will be able to add a 2nd 970 at any point. SLI support isn't necessary, just kinda nice to have. 8GB RAM is minimal these days, doesn't belong in a $1k rig, and 16GB isn't even that expensive these days.

A little cheaper if you don't care about aesthetics so much, or having a side window.
