Seeing that smurfs can just use fake phone numbers or phone numbers of their friends who don't play CSGO. I don't think smurfs will be gone anytime soon.

Matchmaking doesn't show your true skill level, so you'll never really get rid of smurfs.

Valve (or any other company) will never stop Smurfs.

Yea, it will help and decrease the number of smurfs, but they will always be there. It's just one of the flaws in the MM system.

The thing is, does the prime thing even mean that you can only match with prime members? Is it not like, you'll be more likely to be matched with prime members so the chance of people without prime is low but still possible? Either way smurfs are here to stay imo.

Not exactly, cause you can still smurf freely outside of the Prime Matchmaking, and also when I signed up for the Prime beta, they didn't even ask for verification of my #, so I'm not sure how well this system is even going to work.

Smurfing is only really bad around the Master Guardian ranks at the moment imo, so if you're around that rank and keep getting dumpstered by smurfs you wouldn't want to be higher than that rank anyway, anything above DMG is all cheaters, I can't even play on my main without going vs a cheater at Supreme/Global so I smurf all the time.

You sure about that? I've been global for ages now and I barely ever see cheaters. Once every three to four games at most. Faceit is far worse though, I'm in Master league and about half the people I play against are cheating.

I get cheaters every 2 games or so, pretty sure my rank is hard stuck in Supreme now, cause I'm not ranking back to Global or dropping to LEM ever.
