So basically I am applying for a job at a school district that is getting over 1,000 Chrome books this coming up summer and is now hiring a position on their IT staff team. I only know this because my mother works in this school district and I am currently a college student pursuing my Bachelors in Cyber Security and am about to start my fourth year in the fall. Anyway I am curious about getting a certificate from google and if you think this might help me land the job if they see I have a certificate from google. But my issue is their is a few different certifications you can get from google and basically I need help deciding which one would be the best for this type of job (basic troubleshooting, fixing computers, and installing computers is all it really said in the job description).

The one certification that I have found so far that seems to be the closes thing that I am looking for is a Google Educator which does cover Chrome books and all the basic essentials I would imagine I would come across when helping out teachers and it seems it is designed for schools, but it seems it is something for teachers to get. But I am wondering if I should be looking at a different certification.

Thanks ahead of time for helping me out.

This is a tough one for me, I've used Chromebooks since their release and I can honestly say, you don't need any qualifications in IT sector to work one. They are the most simplistic, easy things to use. As for use in the education sector, I've not really had any experience with that so me giving advice on what course to take is like taking feedback on paintings from Stevie Wonder...

If you say you're going into your fourth year of college doing Cyber Security, then you're over qualified to be working with Chromebooks in a school, not being funny, but Chromebooks don't really have any security as it's just not needed.

Google Educator sounds like the course you want though, if you're going to pursue this opportunity, if they work with Chromebooks, and you're going to need experience on them. I'd probably be doing that.

Not sure if this helps you in anyway, but hey!
