Hi everyone I am looking to build my first PC and have listed some details below of what I'm looking for, all help and advice is appreciated. Cheers

Budget :
1,000 GBP

Peripherals & Monitor:
keyboard (50% Gaming, 50% Typing)
Monitor (Open to suggestions)

Games:
Ark Survival Evolved
Day Z
Football Manager

Software:
Sony Vegas

Details:
This will be my first gaming dedicated PC and I am looking to expand my horizons into the PC gaming world.
It would be ideal for the build to be fairly portable due to work

I don't know much about building PCs and which parts are good for their value ETC, so I'll leave that for another member like Skittles or Santorum.

I know lots about games, software and peripherals though. Get a crack version of Sony Vegas, there's no point actually buying it and you should be able to get the games you listed on G2A for a pretty good price and your PC will have no problem running them.

As far as the peripherals, do you need a mouse or a mouse pad? Or even a mouse bungee?

You might find trouble with making your PC portable BTW, mine is extremely heavy and cost me only a little more than yours.

Cheers for replying.

Yeah I didn't really plan on paying for Sony Vegas and I have all of the games already.
I already have a mouse for my current laptop that would do for now.
The PC wouldn't need to be completely portable I'm just looking for it to be easily transportable to and from university

Wait for the GTX 1070 and go with that if it's well priced.

Should see benchmarks for the GTX 1070 tomorrow, or the next day. The GTX 1070 will release on June 10th. You can build the system without the GPU, and just add the GPU once it releases and you buy one. You'll be able to use the i5's iGPU to run the system and do casual stuff, like YouTube and social networking. You wouldn't be able to game with the iGPU though, other than non demanding stuff like Minecraft etc.
