I do agree a Hub would be something to work towards, but may be rather expensive. You could start off with something like skywars or survival games, then build off of that.

Are they still using bukkit mainly? I haven't hosted a server in a while so I'm just doing research right now and I noticed theres a lot of other choices than bukkit.

So what's mainly used? Are premade maps ever used?

Any crucial mods you guys would recommend?

So server will be up shortly. Now taking apps for people wanting to be staff and help build it and HOPEFULLY start splitting profits if we can grow it as I will also have a site for the server with donations and rank packages, etc.

The DMCA take down definitely killed it. However, there is still a community left. I run Spigot on my server, which is pretty similar to bukkit. I know a lot of servers run Sponge now too.
