right, im aware that gamertags have been reset and i searched a tag on xbox to see if it was taken and it went to a profile but the profile had an auto generated name on it, does this mean that the tag has been reset and nobody has taken it?

It means that the Gamertag has been taken.

Turns out it meant it hadn't been taken but a guy took it like 2 mins after i made this post lol
