That's a massively tight budget for 3 monitors and a build that can play everything on a VERY high setting. I'd probably go as far as saying it wouldn't be worth it. Save more and just buy one that's future proof (as far as PC future proofing can go obviously).

Here you go OP, this is my take on the build. You can overclock that processor and every review I've seen of it has gotten 4+GHz out of it. With that cooler you should see that also.

Later down the line add yourself in an SSD to put your important games on and you're set for a while. That GPU will handle so many games you wanna throw at it. If you play on gaming across 3 monitors I don't think you'd hit AAA titles at max settings with it but single display it should perform perfect and you can have the other monitors for other windows.

If you're set on playing across multiple displays just tune down the settings and tweak around and you'd be able to do it.

Don't get an R9 390. Go with NVidia. Simultaneous multi-projection for proper multiple monitor gaming will be a huge advantage, so either get a GTX 970 or wait for a GTX 1070. I assume that NVidia will release a driver update for older cards(970, for example) so that you can use simultaneous multi-projection, but just in case, I would personally wait and get a GTX 1070, it will perform better anyway.

Also, I wouldn't get an i5-6400, spend the little bit extra for a 6500. I wouldn;t get a Hyper 212 EVO, it's an over-hyped cooler. Cryorig M9i, Cryorig H7, Be Quiet! Pure Rock, and Raijintek Aidos are all in the same sort of league, but are easier to install and are usually cheaper than the 212 EVO. $800 rig deserves at least an SSD IMO, but it's pretty tight if you;re trying to fit a 390/970/1070 within budget. Don't get that Corsair 200R. You can get much better cases for slightly higher cost. It's not a terrible case, but it's over-priced for what you get.

A 390 cannot play 3 monitors/1080p/high-very high like he said. He would need to crossfire for something effective. I mean, the build isn't bad but he needs to raise his budget.

1070 should out-perform a 390, and again, simultaneous multi-projection. Nice case and PSU. Nice SSD. You'll probably want to get an HDD or add one soon, 240GB wouldn't last too long.

He wouldn't be playing anything with that build, seeing as though there is no RAM in it.


To OP: I agree with the others above me. The 1070 would be your best bet for what you want to do. I would wait until it comes out and then do your build. If you are impatient and don't want to wait then I guess you could try going with a 970 to hold you over until the 1070 comes out and then you could upgrade it.
