Not looking to spend too much but if sata is the way to go right now how would [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] be? Also have been looking at [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] but don't know how much slower it is compared to the other one. Those two are what my budget is around.

edit: My steam library is about ~348GB but I only really play 1-2 games (~10GB), the rest are just kind of installed but never played.

BX200 is a good cheaper alternative I'd suggest going for at least 240GB as you'll be deffo be running out of space quick!

I personally have 2 of the Samsung 850 EVO 500gb SSD's in my build and I love them! They are super fast and work really well. I have never had a single problem with them. And they are only about $160 USD right now. If you look around you may be able to find one that comes with a free game. Mine both came with different games as I bought them at different times.

It all depends on which specific SSD you get. Yes there is going to be speed differences with the change in prices, but how big of a speed difference depends on which drives you pick. If you don't want to spend that much on an SSD then I suggest either getting a 240GB or 250GB SSD or if you want a 500GB SSD I suggest this one, it is great and is cheaper too! $175CAD is a very good price for that 500GB 850-EVO, that's your best option for sure. Anything less than 480/500GB SSD's are pretty meh these days IMO. 480/500GB are becoming the best bang for your buck, and that kind of capacity is what you should be looking for for your budget.

The BX200 is not a good SSD. Reliable benchmarks show that it performs significantly worse than advertised, and an ADATA SP550, SP600, or OCZ Trion 100/150 would be a better choice. Crucial's MX100, MX200, and BX100 SSD's are all good, the BX200s are not.
