Rikkitikk wrote Hi everyone!

Here's my Kawasaki VN1500 Mean Streak 03'.
Some mods on it:
- Baron Big Air intake
- Vance And Hines pipes
- Home made handlebar + grips and brackets and some noname mirrors.
- Tail Tidy kit + micro blinkers and plate lights

It is a work in progress and more to come!

What do you guys think? Anyone else a Mean Streak owner or VN1500 in general?

Have a good one lads!

For what it is, it is pretty nice. But i'm not really into those types of bikes. I like something that goes fast and you can do stunts on.

It's all about preference ofc, but I assure you, It's fast. This is considered a "power cruiser", which basically means it got a shit tonne of torque, up to a 160km/h is easy, and when it comes to red light street fight the sportsbikes often don't stand a chance (but then they come blasting past me ), and mind you this is without a power commander!
Fast acceleration and being fast as in speed are two different things. Yes it is somewhat fast for a cruiser, but even something like a ninja 250 can get up to 160 km/h. 160 km/h is around 100mph. Yes your bike is pretty torque, but something like a CBR 1000 or zx-10r is around the same amount of torque. I don't currently have my own bike, but my dad has a turbo zx-14. That is an example of what i was talking about when i referred to something that was fast. It can't do stunts but it is really fast and really torque. But we should also take into consideration the size of your motor. Your bike has was more cubic centimeters than pretty much all sport bikes, so in theory, your bike should have more power than the sports bikes. And this is kind of true when it comes to torque. Cruisers are meant to have more torque on the lower end, but they lack speed. Sport bikes are kind of meant for sporting. I'm not hating on your bike or any cruisers, i'm just stating why i enjoy sport bikes more. But like you said, it is all preference.

Just a couple of pics of my dads bike...

Besides stating the obvious, I was never implying that it was faster then a croch rocket but retorting to your statement that it is'nt fast. Acceleration and top speed are different things, yes, and in regard to that this hunk of metal will suprise you and with a power commander the fun o meter rises further in a way that's unlike most of the regular cruiser models I've had. Red to red, this sumo runs past most ninjas. Regarding the 160km/h comment, I'm not saying that's groundbreakingly awesome in any way, what I meant was that acceleration wise up to that speed is fairly nippy and powerfull, ofc a sport bike will zoom past that in a blink of an eye.

I don't understand though why this thread became a "But I like X more then Y"-sort of thread.
With all due respect, I wouldn't comment on a post about cats how much more I like dogs..

This is not a "But I like X more then Y"-sort of thread, i simply stated "For what it is, it is pretty nice. But i'm not really into those types of bikes. I like something that goes fast and you can do stunts on." Last i checked, i could post my opinion. Just because i like different things than you, does not mean that i can not share my opinion. Here i will end this "But I like X more then Y"-sort of argument... Your bike is nice, i just would not personally own one.

Nice cruiser Rikkitikk. I'm personally looking into a CBR600RR. I want a bike for the summer.

Oh! I'm very sorry to hear, hope he recovers alright!

And thanks for the comment, glad you liked it!
The weather is shaping up here in Sweden and the polar bears are migrating to Norway, so therefore it's time to put the truck in the garage and go two wheels from now on!
