BobMarIey wrote I go to college and I would say its worth it. Personally I find a lot of reward in academia and on top of that it keeps me sharp being in a constant intelligent environment. In addition opportunities for employment, though many people criticize it, are far greater with a degree than without, depending on what you want to do. That's honestly a huge factor. I want to go to a grad school so it's essential for me. I think education is a fundamental must, through college, but at the same time I understand not everyone can go/afford/want to go. I would say evaluate what you want with you life, or at least a general direction and you should be able to know if it's worth it. Honestly it is a very subjective question, to some it's worth it, to others it's not. For me, like I said, college is amazing and I would never exchange this experience, but it could be different for you. I'm very pro-college, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters in what you want to do and if college will give you an opportunity to excel in that area and expand your horizons.

Very, very well said. I could not have said it better my self. I am very pro-college myself. I feel that in today's day and age it is very difficult to get ahead WITHOUT a college education, because there are so many other people "competing" so to speak, against you.

Let me stir up the pot a little bit since that's what I like doing. Let's say you and I are competing for the same job. We are both the same age, height, weight, race, had the same grades in school, what ever. The only difference is straight out of high school you went to college to get a book education of the job. I went and got a hands on education doing the job. Do they want someone who studied the job at a school for 4 years? Or a guy who's been in the industry for 4 years? That's where things get complicated. Not saying 1 is better than the other but there are two different ways of looking at it.

Motivational wrote It really depends what other talents you have.

If you've already found a talent that you're good at, like boxing or YouTube then you could try and pursue that as a goal. If you've got no real stand-out talents then I'd go for college and do whatever course you think you would like to do. Never do something for the money, do it because you love it.

Couldn't agree more.

Find a passion and pursue it !

Even if you go to college then hate it and you dont get a job in that line of work then it still looks good on a CV

It depends at the end of the day, sometimes it can be really hard to get a job in your profession after college. So maybe look at getting an internship through your course to maximise your chances of employment straight after you finish studying.

Unless you are going to harvard, it does not matter if you are in community college. Just work hard at what you want mate.

We get free College and University in Scotland so I wouldn't really be able to compare but without it, I would be working in a pretty shit job so if it wasn't free, I probably still would invest now for a better job in the future.

An education can always be useful to you down the road and looks better on future job applications. Some if not not most jobs require a certain level of education.

Yes, education is worth it in my opinion I mean if you get a degree your going to be getting $600-$1000 a week maybe even more, education is helping you on your way to a good strong career and a good living.
