Hi everyone,

I've been searching for a car

basically I don't want to know the pros or cons on this subject of leasing I want some knowledge of the following.

I've applied for a leasing car which is called 1st leasing it's a very high ranked company on google which I found.

I applied for a car and got accepted I've sent them all the information needed.
Address, scanned copies etc and they said I don't have to make a upfront payment till I have the car and have checked over the car and am happy with everything which is what most dealers do,

Now the company has asked for a upfront bank transfer before we've had the car.

I'll be going into the Nissan main dealer tomorrow to ask them further about this but what's you're thoughts?

Well, you're essentially renting the car out so it was only ever expected for you to put down some sort of deposit. It seems some sort of miscommunication. A payment must be declared before driving the car off of the fore-court if I'm not mistaken.

That to me has scam written all over it (the site), but I'm used to the way we do things in America. Here we go to the dealership tell them I'm looking to lease a car show me something with this this and this and let's sign some papers. It's literally the same process as buying the car.

As far as leasing, I look at it as a scam (or waste of money in a better term). You have a full on car payment, the difference is that after the lease is up, the car is gone with your money. It almost works out to you're essentially paying for depreciation and the maintenance that will need to be done once you turn it in. Dealers treat them as a rental, and dent, ding, paint chip, blemish stain, rip, etc you will be paying for.

I would suggest finding a car lot near you to lease with. I don't trust anything like that over the internet.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, so i have been into Nissan today and sat down with the manager and we searched for the lease application and registration plate

We couldn't find the registration number because it's a new car and they don't get registered as it's only just been built,

regarding the lease application we managed to find all the details and where the car was at so I called the company that had the car and there seems to be a delivery date to my address and everything!

I have spoken to the broker 1st leasing and he said call the company direct the Nissan main dealership and pay them via a card payment which I have now done.
