What's everyone's favorite PC game series (not including games that simply added expansions)?

My all time favorite is the Diablo series. Love me some Diablo II

I do enjoy diablo but my favourite has to be world of warcraft although that was expansions, so much fun.

I would say counter strike. Or games like rust, and ark. I would actually classify survival games like that as in a series bc that closely copy each other in many ways.
