Is it worth buying a Hyper 212 Evo (or something along them lines) to replace my Stock Intel Cooler.
Bearing in mind that I have a Locked CPU, so no over clocking. Would the performance out weigh the price?
Thanks.

Well i always say get an aftermarket cpu cooler
The 212 evo is a nice cooler i would get it i think it is worth it even if your not overclocking just because the stock cooler is garbage

For the price the 212 EVO is very nice. When I built my friends rig, it was the cooler of his choice and it was very impressive for the price. It got his FX 6300 from 3.5 GHz, to 4.5 Ghz.
It should be a little quieter than the stock heatsink (especially when gaming/heavy use), but will also look a lot better if you have a clear side panel.

Yes, you should get an aftermarket cooler, but not a Hyper 212. Stock cooler is ugly, can get quite loud, and even a cheap $20-$30 cooler will noticeably improve temperatures, even with a locked chip. The Hyper 212 is an old cooler, and is over-hyped. It was good years ago when it initially released but there are better choices these days. Be Quiet Pure Rock, Raijintek Aidos, Cryorig H7, or a Cryorig M9i would be a better choice.

The Be Quiet Pure Rock's height is 155mm and my max height supported by the case is 155mm. Do you think there'd be any issues?
my case is a Cooler Master Silencio 352.

It should be fine, may be a tight squeeze though. If you're really worried, grab a Raijintek Aidos or Cryorig M9i instead, they're smaller than the Pure Rock and will definitely fit in your case.

I have a Hyper 212 Evo in my PC and it works fine. No complaints for sure.
