I had 3 Xbox 360's banned permanently before for scamming Microsoft and gettting around 30K Microsoft points for free. I didn't recieve an email on why I was banned (even though it was obvious).

Xbox one bans are for card fraud, account theft and very rarely xbox 360 modding.
